Pick your squad's weapon skills
Tell each rule set which weapon skills to use, in what order, and at how much TP. Four picks, one hold amount, a new "spend at an amount" trigger — in the editor, in chat, and in every share code.
Until today your squad members picked their own weapon skills: the strongest one they knew, or whatever closed the skillchain in front of them. Good instincts, but your samurai has opinions, and now the rule set carries them.
Pick the skills
A rule set's posture now holds up to four weapon-skill picks, in order — the first one is what a full TP bar opens with, and every pick is a candidate for closing a skillchain somebody else started:
`` !squad rules posture My Samurai tpskill tachi: gust, tachi: jinpu !squad rules posture My Samurai tpskill any ``
any puts it back the way it was — the member chooses from everything it knows. Picks are intent, like every rule you write: hand a set with Savage Blade in it to a level 10 red mage and the server tells you it is not usable yet, falls back to what the member can do, and the pick starts working the day the skill does. !squad rules report says exactly where each member stands.
Pick the moment
Two more posture knobs join it:
`` !squad rules posture My Samurai tpwhen attp !squad rules posture My Samurai tphold 2000 ``
`attp` is a new TP trigger: hold the bar to close a skillchain, but the moment it reaches your hold amount, spend it regardless. `tphold` is that amount (1000–3000) — and it also feeds the triggers you already had: random never rolls below it, opener waits for a partner to reach it. One warning, straight from the engine: members sharing the same hold amount fire at the same time and chain with nobody — stagger the amounts if you want them to chain off each other.
In the editor too
The /gambits window's posture bar grew the same controls: a holding to amount beside the TP dropdowns, and four weapon-skill slots with a filter box — first slot is the opener, (any) clears one. Everything the window writes goes through the exact !squad rules posture lines above, as always.
Share codes carry all of it. A code exported today includes the picks and the hold amount; every code you saved before today still imports exactly as it did.
Your launcher picks up the new dwgambits window automatically. Write the rules; they will be obeyed.
