DWSpoils

Every monster that pays you experience can hand you augmented gear on the spot — no treasure pool, no lot, straight into your bags — or a Rune, one augment to put on the gear you choose.

DWSpoils is augmented gear off ordinary kills, opened with /spoils: every monster that pays you experience carries a small chance of handing you a piece of equipment with one to four random augments on it, and it goes straight into your bags — no treasure pool, no lot, no trade, and nobody to roll against, because every real player in the party rolls for their own award separately rather than sharing one drop. The gear is drawn from about four thousand ordinary pieces — non-Rare, non-Ex, nothing a notorious monster or a battlefield already guards — spanning every level from 1 to 99, and it is matched to the level of the monster that died, so the lizard outside your starting town pays gear you can wear now and something at the ceiling pays gear at the ceiling. About half of every award is picked for a job somebody in your own squad actually plays, and the other half is drawn from everything. The augments follow the monster the same way: the tougher the thing you killed, the higher the numbers roll, on the same scale the locked treasure caskets roll on, and a fourth augment — the rarest outcome of all — is drawn from the better list the Nemesis chest keeps for its own fourth. A real notorious monster — one on a timer of an hour or more, a placeholder or a pop, never one that respawns like the camp around it — is ten times likelier to pay than an ordinary one, which is one more reason to take the named thing rather than walk past it. You are told every time, in one line naming the item, how many augments it carries, what you killed and where it landed, and a second naming the augments themselves; and a four-augment award is announced to the whole server the same way, every time, with a mark on the first copy of that item anybody has ever been handed. One award in twenty is Super Auged: instead of the ordinary lists it carries one to four augments from a wider list whose numbers reach higher than any other list on the server allows for the same augment — the same list the Nemesis +1 items draw their four from — and every Super Auged find, one augment or four, is announced to the whole server in a single line of its own (a four-augment Super Auged award still counts in the Hall of Four; it simply is not announced twice), while your own line calls it a Super Auged item. Your bags being full never costs you the award: it tries your Mog Satchel, then Sack, then Case, then the bags of the next character on your account, and last your own delivery box. Nothing minted here can reach another player — augmented gear is bound to your account and moves between your own characters and nowhere else — and nothing that has rewards of its own pays spoils, so battlefields, the Gauntlet, the raid board, Nemesis arenas and Unleashed are all outside it. Every kill that pays you experience also carries a small chance of its own at a Rune, rolled beside the spoils roll and never instead of it. A Rune is one augment, banked: there is one kind for each of the ninety-eight augments the Super Auged list can carry, each named for its augment number in Roman numerals (Rune LXXVIII is HP, Rune XXXVII Magic Evasion), and it belongs to your account, so any of your characters can spend it. Every find is announced to the whole server, naming the Rune and the gear it can be applied to. Spending one puts that augment on a piece of your own gear that the Rune fits — by exactly the rules a Super Auged find follows: a Dual Wield Rune only on a one-handed weapon, a weapon-skill Rune only on that kind of weapon, a pet Rune only on gear a pet job can wear — at a rank rolled at random across that item’s Super Auged range. It goes into a free augment slot; if the item already carries that augment it re-rolls that slot instead, so no piece ever carries the same augment twice; and on a piece that already has four augments you choose which one it replaces. The window has four tabs: My Spoils, your account’s last thirty awards with the client’s own item icon and card, a pip for each augment and the augments named in words under it, the monster and its level, the zone, how long ago, where it landed when that was not your inventory, and a mark on every Super Auged one; Runes, every kind of Rune grouped by where it fits, with how many your account has found and still holds, the lowest and highest each one can roll, and an Apply button that lists the gear in your bags it fits (and the pieces it would fit if they were not equipped or up for sale), shows that item’s four augment slots and what the Rune will do to them, and asks you to confirm before anything is spent, then shows what it rolled; Hall of Four, the server’s last hundred four-augment awards — who, what, which four augments it rolled, off what, when, and which were firsts; and Super Auged, drawn the same way as the Hall of Four but listing every Super Auged find on the server, one augment to four, with the pips showing how many. Everything here also works typed as !spoils: !spoils hall is the same Hall of Four, !spoils superauged the same Super Auged list, !spoils runes your Runes, and !spoils runegear followed by a Rune lists what it fits and prints the exact line to spend it.
