A cleaner chat log: colour-coded battle lines and the spam folded into fewer lines — off until you switch it on.

DWChat is the cleaner chat log, opened with /dwchat. Every battle line is colour-coded by what it is — damage you deal, damage you take, healing, buffs landing and wearing off, experience and the other points, items and gil, skill-ups — so a fight reads at a glance instead of as a wall of one colour. The worst of the spam is folded: three experience gains inside a second and a half become one summed line with a count, a run of skill-ups the same, and a squad member's melee against one target becomes one line naming the hits, the crits and the misses. Combined lines are emitted into the same window the originals were bound for, timestamps stay where the timestamp addon put them, and nothing the DriftwoodXI addons say to each other is touched. It is off until you switch it on — /dwchat opens its window, /dwchat on turns it on — and off leaves the log exactly as the game sent it. More lines fold in later releases: spells and abilities, loot, and per-window routing.
