The raid grows: a second fight, four tiers, a fuller shelf

Horlais Peak now holds two trials — the Tidebound Colossus and the new Riptide Behemoth — each at four tiers from Easy to Savage. Every fight at every tier pays its own first-clear-of-the-day bonus, and the Driftmark shop has grown from three shelves to eleven.

The Trial of the Tidebound has company. Open the raid board (/raid, or !raid typed) and there are now two fights to pick from:

  • The Tidebound Colossus — the wyrm you know, still calling in its wyverns on the harder tiers.
  • The Riptide Behemoth — new tonight. A wall of muscle that buries the arena in bloodflies when you hurt it enough.

And where there were two difficulty tiers, there are now four:

TierBoss levelA clear paysFirst of the day
Easy855+25
Normal9010+50
Difficult95, calls adds at half health20+100
Savage99, twice as durable, three adds40+200

Easy is the tour: bring a fresh party, learn the arena, walk out with marks. Savage is the other end — a level 99 boss with twice the staying power that brings three adds while it is still healthy. If your group cleared Difficult without sweating, this is what the sweat was saved for.

Two things make this pay better than it sounds:

  • Every fight at every tier has its own daily bonus. The first clear of each of the eight combinations each day pays about five times the base — a full sweep is over 700 Driftmarks before the base payouts.
  • The shop grew from three shelves to eleven. X-Potions, Pro-Ethers, Hi-Reraisers, Icarus Wings and Vile Elixirs on the consumable side; Gold, Platinum and Damascus Ingots for the crafters. Same rules as always: quoted first, confirmed second, bag space checked before you are charged.

Everything else is unchanged: enter from any city with your party standing around you, the server checks everyone before anyone moves, and win or lose you are put back on the exact tile you left. Driftmarks still belong to the whole account — the run your main makes tonight is spendable by the alt who wants the ingot tomorrow.

The raid board updates itself through the launcher within a few hours of this post — or restart the launcher and it arrives at the next Play.
