Any Arena, Any Boss

The raid seats a full boss in the next free arena instead of turning you away, your alts' automatons can be fitted and named from the bags window, and Aht Urhgan gets its price list ahead of the gates opening.

The element-day bonus worked a little too well. Everyone wanted the same boss at the same hour, that boss lived in one shrine with three arenas, and the other twenty-four arenas sat empty while parties were told to wait. This patch fixes that, and lays two more stones on the road to Aht Urhgan.

Any arena, any boss

Every trial now has a home shrine and will use any other one when home is full. Enter a trial whose shrine is busy and the raid seats you at the next shrine with a free arena, in the order the board lists them, and tells you so in chat: "Horlais Peak is full -- your trial runs at Waughroon Shrine instead." The boss is the same boss, the arena clock is the same clock, and everything the clear pays is the same: the daily, the day's element, the chain and the repeat ladder all key off the trial, never off where it ran.

The occupancy board now shows every shrine's arenas and, for each trial, how many copies are running and how many arenas are free to it. The only refusal left is the honest one: all twenty-seven arenas busy.

Your alts' automatons, from the bags window

Two additions to DWBags for puppetmasters.

  • Unlock an automaton part from an alt's bag. Pick the alt, find the attachment, frame or head in their inventory and press Unlock. The part is used up and the unlock is written to that character, exactly as trading it to Tateeya would do. Because unlocks are read account-wide, every squad puppetmaster on your account can build with it from then on. A part you already own is refused without being used. Your own character still trades to Tateeya in Whitegate; the game's own menus own that record.
  • Name an alt's automaton. The Gear tab carries a name combo with the game's own list of automaton names and an Apply button. The puppet answers to the new name the next time the squad calls it. Your own automaton is named by the job quest, as it always was.

Both refuse a character who is logged in, and both say why.

Aht Urhgan, ahead of the gates

Treasures of Aht Urhgan is not open yet. Two things are in place for the day it is.

Updated 2026-09-21: that day came. Aht Urhgan opened on 21 September 2026 and both of the things below are live; the post "Treasures of Aht Urhgan is open" on this page has the rest.

  • Every Aht Urhgan mission and quest battlefield pays Chunks of Beitetsu on top of its capacity points, once per character per fight: 5 for a job testimony, 10 for a quest fight, 20 for a story fight. Finishing the story, the mission that crowns the Empress, pays a lump of 135. One complete run of Aht Urhgan is exactly 300 Beitetsu, which is what Oboro asks to take a level 99 mythic to 119. Sky pays relic stones, Sea pays empyrean stones, and Aht Urhgan pays mythic ones. A full bag never burns a payout: a battlefield pays again on your next clear, and the lump retries on your next login.
  • DWPort waits for the Boarding Permit. The port window will not warp you into Aht Urhgan until Faursel in Lower Jeuno has handed you the Boarding Permit at the end of The Road to Aht Urhgan. Do the quest once and every Aht Urhgan home point, survival guide and waypoint opens to the window, the same way Sky waits on the Zilart missions today.
