The Conquest Point Exchange
Every gate guard's conquest-point shelf and every merchant's counter in Vana'diel, in one window, from anywhere. Any nation's gear at any rank for your own CP, and 1,400+ merchant items for gil or conquest points. Type /cpx.
Conquest points have always been good money with a terrible store. The gear sits behind a gate guard in a capital you may not be standing in, behind a rank you may not hold, in a nation you may not belong to — and the classic answer, "find someone from Bastok and trade through them," is not much of an answer on any server, let alone one built around playing your own squad.
And there has been a second complaint for as long as this server has been up: "there are no low-level weapons and armor for sale." There are. About a hundred and eighty shopkeepers sell them — in Selbina, in the guild halls, up stairs and down alleys across every starting nation — and almost nobody visits any of them, because nobody should have to run to Mhaura for a Kukri.
Both problems now have the same fix. Type /cpx.
Every nation's shelf, no strings
The Conquest Point Exchange opens with a tab for each nation — San d'Oria, Bastok, Windurst — paged by rank, exactly the way the gate guards file their stock, so what comes from where is still legible. But nothing gates anymore:
- Buy from any nation, whichever one you started in.
- Buy from any rank, whatever rank you hold.
- Pay with your own conquest points, at the guards' own prices. No trading partner, no surcharge.
Rank still matters — every rank you climb is still +100 Warehouse slots and still triples your mission completion bonus. What it no longer does is stand between you and a Royal Squire's Halberd.
An Allied Sundries tab carries the shared stock: Instant Warp and Instant Reraise scrolls, the Return and Homing and Warp rings, the trust ciphers. The EXP bands stay with the gate guards — their recharge mechanics live there and only there.
Every merchant's counter, one window
Next to the nation tabs sit four more: Weapons, Armor, Scrolls and Goods — every item the world's regular merchants and the round-the-clock guild counters sell, more than 1,400 of them, filed the way the Auction House would file them. Every low-level sword, every piece of starter armor, every White and Black Magic scroll a shop somewhere stocks, food, ninja tools, crystals, crafting materials, maps.
Every one of them is priced two ways:
- Gil, at the counter's own best price — the number a max-fame local would pay standing in front of the shopkeeper.
- Conquest points, at two gil of goods per point.
That second line is the quiet one. Keep your signet on, go kill things — the thing most of you were doing tonight anyway — and the points that used to pile up with nowhere to go are now grocery money.
Built to browse
Hover any row and you get the full card: the item's real icon, its description, level, jobs, slots, Rare/Ex flags, both prices colored by whether your purse covers them, and how many you are already carrying. A Search tab looks across every shelf at once — nation stock, sundries and merchants together. A Fits me filter trims the racks to what your current job could actually wear at its level, and stackables buy by the dozen with a quantity box.
Buying is deliberate: click Buy, read the quoted price, click Confirm. The server re-checks your funds, your bag space and the Rare rules on every purchase, and the item-level release schedule still holds everywhere.
No addon loaded? Everything works typed: !cpx shows the shelves, !cpx find bronze searches them, !cpx buy 104609 gil 12 then !cpx confirm buys. The window is friendlier; it has never been required.
The Exchange ships in the Default addon set, so for most of you /cpx will simply work the next time you log in. If it does not, open the launcher's Addons tab and switch dwcpx on, or type /addon load dwcpx in game.
