Relic, mythic and empyrean effects, for you and your squad

A squad member wielding a relic, mythic or empyrean weapon now earns its aftermath; every 99 II and 119 II relic gives the afterglow aftermath it promised; nine relics get their additional effect back above level 75; eight mythics and the two ranged empyreans get the lines they were missing.

Simseru reported that an alt swinging an afterglow Amanomurakumo through Tachi: Kaiten got no aftermath. That was true, and pulling on it turned up a row of item data that was wrong for players too. All of it is fixed in this patch.

Your squad earns aftermath now

The aftermath helper returned early for anything that was not a player, and then read a player-only inventory slot. A squad member wielding a relic, mythic or empyrean now gains the aftermath its own weapon and TP call for, including the afterglow tier, and the empyrean "occasionally attacks for double or triple damage" multiplier applies to its swings and shots. Mythic multi-attack aftermath already worked once the effect could land. Your summoner is told once per level change: <member> gains Aftermath (Lv.3).

Relics

  • Every 99 II and 119 II relic carried the plain level 99 aftermath. The 250 Umbral Marrow bought a glow and nothing else. Spharai, Mandau, Excalibur, Ragnarok, Guttler, Bravura, Apocalypse, Gungnir, Kikoku, Amanomurakumo, Mjollnir, Claustrum, Yoichinoyumi and Annihilator now give the enhanced aftermath at both afterglow forms, as the 119 III always did.
  • Nine relics lost their additional effect above level 75. Mandau's Poison, Guttler's Choke, Bravura's Evasion Down, Apocalypse's Blindness, Gungnir's Defense Down, Kikoku's Paralysis, Amanomurakumo's Attack Down, Mjollnir's MP restore and Claustrum's Dispel now proc on every step from 80 to 119 III, at the same power the 75 always had.
  • Gjallarhorn's 80, 85, 90 and 95 steps get the Charisma and instrument skill their neighbours have. The Dealer Moogle's quiverless 119 III Yoichinoyumi and Annihilator get the damage lines their bundled twins carry.

Mythics

Burtgang 99 had no aftermath at all. Tupsimati 95 gave a melee aftermath on a scholar's staff. The Dealer Moogle's 119 III Gastraphetes and Death Penalty carried a lower aftermath tier and were missing Barrage accuracy, Quick Draw damage and their weapon skill damage line. Yagrush 90, Terpsichore 80, Burtgang 119 III, Ryunohige 119 afterglow, Gastraphetes 119 III and Nirvana 119 III each had one signature line missing on that step alone. All eight weapons are corrected on every affected form.

Empyreans

The item data was already right at every tier. The one defect was in the aftermath table: Gandiva and Armageddon granted the melee multiplier, which a ranged shot never reads, so a ranger's aftermath did nothing. Both now grant the ranged form at every step from 85 to 119 III.

Not changed, on purpose

Aegis and Gjallarhorn at 99 II have no aftermath and no weapon skill, so there is nothing to raise there without inventing a number. Tizona's additional effect and Aymur's job line have no reliable source, so neither was guessed. Ochain converts damage to MP on every hit rather than only on a block, which is stronger than retail and stays that way for now.
