Nemesis eased, jobs for sale, and your squad's bows

Nemesis arenas cap at level 160 with cheaper doors, the Drift Board pays a fifth more and sells every job unlock for 100 coins, DWCon shows every effect on your target from the server itself, squad members shoot like their characters and stop wasting ninja tools, Bard gambits save again, three more addons are allowed, and the fishing and digging days are longer.

Eight player reports and five requests, one patch. Update your addons through the launcher; the server side is live now.

Nemesis: level 160, and the door is cheaper

A level 175 arena monster was past what an item-level 119 party could hit, so every Nemesis fight now caps at 160. The fees dropped with it: Field is 5,000 gil and one Job Testimony, Dungeon 10,000 and two different, Legend 30,000 and three different. Seven monsters with no real prize left the board (Black Triple Stars, Silk Caterpillar, Forger, Nue, Guardian Statue, Leshonki and Morion Worm), which leaves two hundred and forty. Your kills, best times and Mercy meters are untouched.

The Drift Board pays more, and sells jobs

Every contract payout is up about a fifth: a family daily pays 10 Drift Coins, a bounty 30, a weekly 50 and up, the server-wide contract 72. Shelf prices did not move.

The Special tab gained a row per job: every non-retail job for 100 Drift Coins. Paladin, Dark Knight, Beastmaster, Bard, Ranger, Summoner, Samurai, Ninja and Dragoon are on the shelf today. A purchase completes that job's own unlock quest outright, so the log entry, the fame, the title and the job emote are exactly what the walk to the NPC would have left you with. The Aht Urhgan, Wings of the Goddess and Adoulin jobs appear the day those expansions open here, and not before. Dark Knight and Summoner now hand out their job emote on the quest too; they were the only two that did not.

DWCon: every effect on your target

The debuff bar under your target has always been a guess. Nothing on the game's wire tells a client what a monster is wearing, so every such bar out there reads the action messages and misses whatever it was not taught, a weapon's additional-effect poison for one. DWCon 1.2.0 draws the effect strip: every status effect your current target is actually wearing, read off the monster's real status list on the server and sent to you as it changes, with the client's own icon per effect and the time each has left. It is in the /dwcon window with its own switch and placement.

Squad members

  • Ninja tools. A member wearing Utsusemi: Ni no longer casts Ichi over it. A lower tier under standing shadows is held; a bare back still gets Ichi while Ni recasts, which is what a ninja does.
  • Ranged attacks. A member's ranged attack, accuracy, distance penalties, Velocity Shot and Barrage bonuses, Recycle, Snapshot and Rapid Shot merits, and its shot rate are now its character's, calculated by the same code a player's are. Expect a member with a bow or gun to shoot about twice as often and to hit like you do. Members also stand with their character's hitbox now, so every range measured against them matches a player's.
  • Party area buffs. Trusts and pets used to receive a party area buff from anywhere in the zone while the player beside the caster could miss it. Everyone is measured now, and a squad white mage no longer casts Auspice on cooldown for an ally its circle cannot reach: stand inside the ten yalms around the caster and it lands.

DWGambits: Bard rows save

Editing the Sings-to or Seconds-left cell on a Bard rule looked refused and reverted to zero. The server was saving it; the window was not listening for the answer. Fixed in dwgambits 1.14.2, and editing any other field of a song row keeps those two cells too.

Three more addons allowed

Upcast, tTimers and Balloon are on the allowed list. Upcast sends the highest tier of a spell you know as a plain macro line; tTimers replaces the stock timers with steadier buff, debuff and recast bars; Balloon draws NPC dialogue in a speech bubble. Install tTimers and Balloon from their GitHub release zips, not the repository download. Upcast installs straight from its GitHub URL in the launcher, which learned to accept a repository that keeps its files at the root.

Longer days

The fishing allowance is 300 catches a day and chocobo digging is 150 digs a day, both per account, reset at Japanese midnight.
