DWRaid
Eighteen boss trials across thirteen venues, entered from anywhere — now reaching into Chains of Promathia.
DWRaid is this server's endgame challenge as a window. Eighteen trials wait across thirteen venues, and every element on the wheel has a boss under the base item level. The newest four: the Fell Shadow Lord in the Throne Room, who siphons the party's HP and MP into himself on a clock, at every quarter of his health and on his blade; the Moonlit Carbuncle at Full Moon Fountain, who heals himself with his own ruby on a clock unless he is stunned or asleep the moment it glows; the Verglas Shiva in the Cloister of Frost, whose ice spikes paralyze the hand that hits her and whose stasis paralyzes the whole arena on a spoken clock; and the Keraunos Ramuh in the Cloister of Storms, whose shock spikes stun and whose judgment takes a share of everyone's maximum HP wherever they stand. The original eight: in Horlais Peak, the Tidebound Colossus, a wyrm that calls in wyverns, and the Riptide Behemoth, which buries you in bloodflies; in Waughroon Shrine, the Wakeshell Adamant, a mountain of a tortoise whose crabs scuttle in from the sands, and the Maelstrom Sovereign, a royal jelly that splits into its own court; in Balga's Dais, the stone pair -- the Gravegaze Medusa, whose baleful gaze petrifies anyone caught facing her, and the Cragmaw Basilisk, which breathes whole parties to stone while its hatchlings swarm; and in the Cloister of Gales, the wind pair -- the Zephyr Seraph, who fights from the air behind ten shadow images, and the Howlmane Manticore, which hoards every shield it wins back as a gathering gale. And with Chains of Promathia open, five more, staged where their stories happened: Skyrend Ouryu on the Monarch Linn platforms, the Forged Imposter and its marching copies, Ultima Reawakened on the Sealion's Den airship deck, the Avalanche Tzar at Bearclaw Pinnacle -- a living bomb on a countdown the window announces out loud, killed in time or the trial is lost -- and, in the Empyreal Paradox itself, the Twilight God Promathia. Five tiers now, from an Easy tour at level 85 through Savage to Promyvion, the rung above Savage that exists only on the CoP trials and only for accounts that have finished the story -- until then it draws greyed with the reason on hover. Every venue holds three arenas, thirty-nine in all, the window counts exactly how many are busy, and every run is capped at fifteen minutes. Or take the whole ladder at once: a Chain Trial starts at Easy and, when each boss falls, pays that rung on the spot, sweeps the arena, adds fifteen minutes to the clock and spawns the next difficulty where the last one stood -- won when the highest rung falls, Savage or Promyvion, with no zone change in between. And since 2026-09-14 a Chain Trial need not stop there: enter as a Circuit and, when the top rung falls, the arena stays open ninety seconds with a Breather on the party while anyone names the next boss, which spawns on the same spot -- every rung of it, or one rung per boss at a fixed tier as a Tier Circuit -- boss after boss round the board with no loading screen anywhere in it; clear every boss in one run and that Grand Circuit's time goes on the leaderboard, fastest first. The variety chain counts every rung of one boss as one link, so the second boss of a circuit pays +10% on every rung and the third +20%. A trial is not stuck at its own venue: if all three of its arenas are taken, the server seats your party at the next venue with room and tells you which and why, so the only refusal left is a board with no free arena anywhere. There is no orb to farm and no walk to a burning circle: pick a fight, gather your party anywhere, press Enter, and the server checks every member before anyone moves. When the fight ends, win or lose or leave, each player is put back on the exact spot they left from. Clears pay Driftmarks, account-wide, with the first clear of each fight at each tier each day paying double -- and since the variety round, the board rewards moving around it: trials under the Vana'diel day's element pay half again on every clear, a chain of different trials cleared back to back pays up to half again on the next new one, and repeating the same trial at the same tier steps its base down to 75, 50 and then 25 percent until Japanese midnight, while the daily bonus stays whole. The window says which element today favours, how long your chain is, and what your next clear will actually pay. The shop turns Driftmarks into supplies and a gear ladder that now climbs to item level 109: the classic 100-103 catalog at half its old prices, new weapon and armor pages at 106, an elite page at 109 for accounts past the story (the best weapon per class, and the Geomancer and Rune Fencer Empyrean and artifact sets sold whole, since no lower piece exists for them to trade in) -- and the forge, on its own Reforge tab at the end of the shop's page strip, which takes a Dynamis relic armor piece, an Outfitter artifact +1 piece or an Outfitter Empyrean +2 piece you own and reforges it into its item-level 109 self, the retail reforgement lines: relic in and Agoge or Caballarius out, Fighter's +1 in and Pummeler's out, Ravager's +2 in and Boii out, at the same price whichever line it is. Since Treasures of Aht Urhgan the tab has a second rung: a reforged item level 109 piece forges one rung further, into its +1 at item level 119, for 4,500 Driftmarks -- 5,400 for a body piece -- all twenty-two jobs, Geomancer and Rune Fencer included. The piece going in is consumed, augments and all; nothing on it carries across. Both rungs ask the same door as the 109 shelf, Chains of Promathia finished on the account. A Materials shelf sits at the end of the page strip with the upgrade stones the Magian Moogles and Oboro want (which since 2026-09-10 also drop in the world: Pluton from the Sky gods and their pop monsters, Riftborn Boulders from the Sea Jailers, Beitetsu from the Zeni monsters, the ToAU kings and the Salvage chariots, and all three from Kirin, Absolute Virtue and the Pandemonium Warden; and every Aht Urhgan mission and quest battlefield pays Chunks of Beitetsu on top of its capacity points, five, ten or twenty by tier, once per character per fight, with a lump of a hundred and thirty-five when the last Aht Urhgan mission completes -- a full run of the expansion is three hundred, which is exactly one mythic reforge at Oboro), and the crafting hides and gems the item-level 114 recipes need -- the raid shop sells the ingredients for that tier, never the armour. Open it with /raid, or type !raid for the same thing in chat with no addon at all.
